Author
Larry Phillip Elliott, Ph.D. was born in Fleming, Missouri. He received his Ph.D. in Bacteriology in 1965, worked in the Biology Department of Western Kentucky University for 42 years, and in retirement serves as Professor Emeritus.
During his tenure, he specialized in teaching Microbiology and related courses. Among his many professional accomplishments, Dr. Elliott was elected to the Governing Board for the Kentucky Academy of Science for eight years and was Vice-President, President-elect, President (1994), and Past-President, and along with his students has published 46 articles in scientific journals.
He and his wife, Wilma, have three daughters and six grandchildren. Larry has been a member of First Baptist Church in Bowling Green since 1965.
